About Me
More about me... Who Am I? My name is Brandy Wimberly and I am a sophomore at the University Of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. I am a double major, English and Secondary Education. I am 27 years old and live in Jackson, Alabama. I am married and have a 5 year old son. I graduated high school in 1999 from Coffeeville High School. I then attended Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham where I graduated in 2001 with a Associate Degree in Applied Science. I have been a practicing funeral director and embalmer since that time. I got interested in wanting to teach because I want to set a good example for my son by setting goals and getting as much education as I can. I also want to be on the same schedule with my son and play a major part in his education.

Using Blogs In the Classroom
Using blogs in a classroom setting will be a step a a positive direction. Not only will it enhance the technological capabilities of my students, it will enhance their use of grammar and spelling. I would like to have a classroom blog in my classroom. I want each class to have a blog that students rotate making posts to the class blog. I would also want my students to make presentations and post them to the class blog. Blogs are a great way for a teacher and students to keep abreast of what is going on in class, assignments, missed classes, and so on. You can create your own blog whenever you like. Simply click onblog and it will take you to a website designed to help set up blogs. What an innovative way to interact with your students!
